One of the most iconic locations in the United States is Arlington National Cemetery. Located across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., it is a military cemetery of 639 acres in Arlington County, Virginia. The land was once owned by Mary Anna Custis Lee, a great-granddaughter of Martha Washington and wife of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. The national cemetery was established during the Civil War, perhaps as a way of punishing General Lee.  The dead of the nation’s conflicts during and after the Civil War have been buried here. There have also been re-interments of the  dead from earlier wars.

So far (as of October 4, 2021), there have been a total of 66 SHELDONs buried in Arlington Cemetery.  Here is a list of those Sheldons, which includes Date if Birth (when known) and Date of Death:
